How do you get rid of commonly used and EPA approved fungicide thiabendazole and the insecticide phosmet from your apples?
Dump your apples in a solution baking soda and water. Wash them in a mixture of one teaspoon of baking soda for every two cups of water.
The baking soda solution cleared off all of the thiabendazole from the apple skins after 12 minutes and all of the phosmet after 15 minutes.
